Admin FAQ

User management depends on how your VizSeek environment is configured. In general, admins should control who can sign in, which users can access indexed data, and which teams can manage configuration or operational settings.

What should admins prepare before rollout?

Section titled “What should admins prepare before rollout?”

Admins should usually prepare:

  • Authentication and access requirements.
  • Network and repository access.
  • File source permissions.
  • Environment ownership and support contacts.
  • A process for onboarding new users.

Access should align with how your data is governed internally. Teams should only be able to search repositories and technical content they are permitted to view.

Admins should keep an eye on:

  • Indexing success and failure patterns.
  • Changes in source repositories.
  • User onboarding and support requests.
  • Search adoption in the target workflows.
  • Environment health, storage, and scheduled processing behavior.

What if our environment has stricter security requirements?

Section titled “What if our environment has stricter security requirements?”

VizSeek can be discussed in the context of cloud or on-premises deployment, depending on the organization’s security, network, and infrastructure requirements. Admin teams should capture those constraints early during planning.
